Welcome! My name is Zarine Mohideen. I am an artist and writer from Chennai, India living in the Bay Area. My art represents the mélange of various realities that occupy my thoughts. I work primarily with watercolor, ink, pigment and acrylic to create abstract landscapes of my inner world. When I notice the pulse of my energies shift, I look towards nature, drawing inspiration from flowers and allow my intuition to guide me to create abstract floral work. My pieces are flush with palpable energy, and I am drawn towards bold colors that help uncover my inner state.

I have a graduate degree in Engineering and worked in tech before becoming a self-taught artist. Nature, the soothing California sky and the unrestrained joy of flowers are my inspirations to create free flowing, wild pieces of art.

Currently, I work out of my studio located at Visual Philosophy Studio, San Jose, CA.
